Cleaning the DeLonghi EDG268.GY Infinissima Touch Coffee Machine is essential to maintain its performance and prolong its lifespan. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to clean the machine:
1. Before cleaning, ensure that the machine is turned off and unplugged from the power source.
2. Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
3. Open the capsule compartment and remove any used capsules.
4. Remove the drip tray and wash it with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry before placing it back.
5. Clean the capsule compartment with a damp cloth to remove any coffee residue. Be careful not to wet the electrical components.
6. Clean the water tank with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry before refilling it with fresh water.
7. Run a cleaning cycle by following these steps:
a. Fill the water tank with water and place a container under the coffee outlet.
b. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds until the light starts flashing.
c. The machine will automatically dispense hot water to clean the system. Allow the water to run until the tank is empty.
d. Once the cleaning cycle is complete, discard the water from the container.
8. Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents.
9. Reassemble all the parts and ensure they are properly fitted.
10. The machine is now ready for use.
