To change the tip on the Transferpettor Positive Displacement Pipette, follow these steps:
1. Turn the tip until the arrow on the instrument and the score on the tip are in alignment.
2. Pull the tip off the seal.
3. Slide the new tip over the seal, aligning the arrow on the instrument and the score on the tip.
4. Slide the tip into the mounting, keeping it slightly pressed into it.
5. To position the tip exactly, press the pipetting key fully down and fix the tip by turning it to the right or left (max. 45°).
6. Let the pipetting key slide back.
Note: If the pipetting key is not fully pushed down when the tip is installed, the tip will be seated too far into the tip mount, resulting in a lower volume delivery than indicated.
Please refer to page 14 of the Transferpettor Positive Displacement Pipette Operating Manual for more detailed instructions and illustrations.
