To connect the to your TV, follow these steps:
First, check the available audio output options on your TV. Most modern TVs have an HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel), optical audio, or analog audio output.
2. Choose the Correct Connection MethodOption 1: HDMI (If your system supports HDMI ARC)
- Step 1: Use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI ARC port on your TV to the HDMI OUT port on your Bose Acoustimass 6 control console (if it supports HDMI).
- Step 2: Ensure both the TV and Bose system are powered on.
- Step 3: On your TV, make sure the HDMI ARC setting is enabled. This might be located in your TV’s sound settings.
- Step 4: Set your Bose system to the correct HDMI input.
Option 2: Optical Audio Cable
- Step 1: Connect an optical cable (TOSLINK) from the optical audio output on your TV to the optical input on the Bose Acoustimass 6 control console.
- Step 2: In your TV’s sound settings, change the audio output to optical or digital audio out.
- Step 3: Set the Bose Acoustimass 6 system to the optical input.
Option 3: Analog Audio (RCA)
- Step 1: Connect the red and white RCA audio cables (often included) from the audio output of your TV to the audio input on the Bose Acoustimass 6 control console.
- Step 2: Set the TV’s audio output to external speakers or analog audio out (if necessary).
- Step 3: Set the Bose system to the correct RCA input.
- Use the speaker wires to connect the individual speakers (left, right, center, and subwoofer) to the corresponding terminals on the Bose Acoustimass 6 control console. Ensure the color-coded wires match the terminals.
- Power on the TV and the Bose Acoustimass 6 system.
- Test the sound by playing audio from the TV. If necessary, adjust the TV's audio output settings for optimal sound quality, such as setting the TV's sound to external speakers or adjusting the volume levels.
- Some TVs may have a setting for Audio Sync or Sound Output that may need to be adjusted for optimal performance with your Bose system.
