To configure your LANCOM device using LANconfig, please follow these steps:
1. Download LANconfig: Visit the LANCOM Systems website at www.lancom-systems.com/downloads/ and download the LANconfig software. LANconfig is a free-of-charge and user-friendly software for the configuration of LANCOM devices on Microsoft Windows.
2. Connect your LANCOM device: Connect your LANCOM device to your computer using an Ethernet cable. Make sure that both the LANCOM device and your computer are powered on.
3. Open LANconfig: Launch the LANconfig software on your computer.
4. Search for devices: In LANconfig, click on the "Search now" button to automatically detect unconfigured LANCOM devices in your local network (LAN).
5. Configure basic settings: After the LANCOM device is detected, a setup wizard will automatically start to configure basic settings such as the master device password, device name, and IP address. Follow the instructions provided by the setup wizard to complete the configuration.
6. Further configuration: Once the basic settings are configured, you can continue with the device configuration by setting up Internet access, WLAN, and other settings using LANconfig's setup wizards or directly within the software.
Note: If LANconfig does not find your device, you should check the network connection and update the IP address of your configuration PC. Additionally, make sure that your LANCOM device is powered on and properly connected to your computer.
