To clean the non-stick coating of the BELLA 13820 Electric Skillet, follow these steps:
1. Unplug the skillet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Remove the temperature control probe from the skillet.
3. The skillet base is not dishwasher safe. Wash it with warm soapy water and rinse it dry after each use. Avoid using steel wool, scouring pads, or abrasive cleaners on any part of the skillet, as they may cause surface scratches.
4. The glass lid is top rack dishwasher safe. You can place it in the dishwasher for easy cleaning.
5. For stubborn food particles, you can use a plastic cleaning pad to gently loosen them. Avoid hard scouring of the non-stick finish.
6. For stain removal and proper care of the non-stick coating, identify stained areas on the cooking surface and sprinkle some baking soda on the stains. Moisten the baking soda with water to create a paste-like texture. Let the paste stand on the stains for a few minutes (not more than an hour). Then, rub with a soft damp cloth or lightly scrub with a plastic scouring pad. Wipe clean and dry thoroughly. Repeat the process if necessary.
7. After cleaning, store the temperature control probe inside the covered skillet. Store the clean skillet in its box or in a clean, dry place.
Remember, do not immerse the cord, plug, or temperature control probe in water or any other liquid. The temperature control probe is not submersible. Following these cleaning instructions will help maintain the non-stick coating and ensure the longevity of your BELLA 13820 Electric Skillet.
