To install the DYNOJET PC6-22090 Power Commander 6, please follow the steps below:
1. Begin by turning off the ignition before starting the installation.
2. Remove the seats, lower left side fairing, fuel tank shell, side panels below the fuel tank, and the fuel tank itself.
3. Loosen the coolant reserve bottle.
4. Remove the bolts holding the ignition coils in place to gain access to the wiring harness.
5. Lay the Power Commander 6 in the tail section of the bike and route the harness down the right side, towards the coils.
6. Plug the Power Commander 6 in-line with the ignition coils and wiring harness. Connect the PCV Green wires to the left coil's ORANGE stock wire, PCV Red/Wht wires to the left coil's RED/BLK stock wire, and PCV Blue wires to the right coil's GRY/RED stock wire.
7. Unplug the stock harness from the fuel injectors.
8. Plug the Power Commander 6 in-line with the stock injectors and wiring harness. Connect the PCV Orange wires to the left, Grey stock connector, and PCV Yellow wires to the right, Brown stock connector.
9. Use the supplied Positap to attach the GREY wire of the Power Commander 6 to the stock YELLOW wire of the bike's Throttle Position Sensor.
10. Unplug the crank position sensor connector, which is a BLACK connector pair on the left side of the motorcycle.
11. Plug the Power Commander 6 in-line with the stock CPS and wiring harness.
12. Secure the Power Commander 6 in the tail section using the supplied Velcro. Clean both surfaces with the alcohol swab before attaching.
13. Attach the ground wire from the Power Commander 6 to the negative (-) side of the battery.
14. Reinstall the coils, fuel tank, coolant reserve bottle, bodywork, and seats.
15. Affix the supplied CARB E.O. label to a conspicuous area, preferably next to the original emissions label. Clean the surface before attaching.
16. Finally, download the latest map files from the DYNOJET website at dynojet.com/tunes.
