To clean and maintain the Honeywell HWDT-510W water dispenser, follow these steps:
1. Before cleaning, turn off the power switch and disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.
2. Drain all water from the unit by turning the heating switch to the OFF position. Open the lower door and remove the water bottle from the unit. Also, remove the water straw from the water bottle.
3. Rinse the unit and its parts several times with boiling or purified water to clean them. After rinsing, tilt the dispenser to drain any remaining water. Use a rag or soft cloth to dry the unit.
4. It is recommended to wash and disinfect the system every 3-6 months. This can be done by following the cleaning steps mentioned above.
5. If the appliance is not going to be used for a long period of time, unplug it and drain all water from its interior.
6. Do not clean the outside of the appliance directly with water to avoid electric shock. Clean it with a soft cloth.
7. If the power cable suffers any damage, contact the manufacturer, service representative, or qualified personnel. Do not attempt to repair the cable yourself.
8. If you are not using the appliance for a long period of time or during the night, you can turn it off to save energy.
