To connect the Polk Audio LSiM 705 Tower Speaker to your amplifier or receiver, follow these steps:
1. Strip 1/2" (12.7mm) of insulation from each of the two conductors of the wire to expose the bare metal and twist each of the individual conductors into single unfrayed strands.
2. Identify the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals on the back of the speaker. The positive terminal is marked in red and the negative terminal is marked in black.
3. Unscrew the binding post caps on the back of the speaker.
4. Insert the bare wire into the hole near the base of the corresponding positive or negative terminal. Do not insert the insulated part of the wire into the hole.
5. Tighten the binding post cap until it seats firmly with the wire, but do not over tighten.
6. Repeat steps 2-5 for the other speaker wire.
7. Connect the other ends of the speaker wires to the corresponding positive and negative terminals on your amplifier or receiver.
8. Make sure the wire connections are secure and there are no loose strands of wire.
9. Double-check all wire connections and ensure that the positive terminal on the speaker is connected to the positive terminal on the amplifier or receiver, and the negative terminal on the speaker is connected to the negative terminal on the amplifier or receiver.
10. Once the connections are secure, you can power on your amplifier or receiver and start enjoying your Polk Audio LSiM 705 Tower Speaker.
Note: If you prefer using connectors such as banana plugs or spade lugs, you can follow the instructions provided in the manual for connecting those types of connectors to the binding posts on the back of the speaker.
