To connect your equipment to the TRIPP-LITE OMNI700LCDT UPS system, follow these steps:
1. Plug the UPS into a properly grounded AC power outlet.
2. Connect your equipment to the UPS using the outlets on the back of the UPS. There are two sets of outlets: SURGE PROTECTED outlets and BATTERY/SURGE PROTECTED outlets.
- Use the SURGE PROTECTED outlets for common desktop items like printers, scanners, and other accessories that do not require battery backup power during power outages.
- Use the BATTERY/SURGE PROTECTED outlets for vital computer equipment that requires battery backup support during power failures.
Note: Make sure not to exceed the UPS output capacity by connecting equipment with a total volt-amp (VA) rating that exceeds the UPS output capacity. To determine the VA rating of your equipment, refer to their nameplates. If the equipment is listed in amps (A), multiply the number of amps by 120 to determine VA.
3. Once your equipment is connected, press the power button on the UPS to turn it on. The UPS will beep once briefly, and the BATTERY/SURGE PROTECTED outlets will start providing AC line power and battery backup support.
