To program the Genie R39 garage door opener remote, follow these steps:
1. Remove the panel from your original transmitter or check the switch pattern on the back of the garage door opener hanging in your garage. This will help you identify the correct switch pattern.
2. Remove the programming panel from your new Genie R39 transmitter.
3. Using a small tool with a pointed tip (such as a ballpoint pen), match the switch pattern on your new transmitter to the one on your original transmitter or garage door opener. If your transmitter or opener has 9 switches, set the first 9 switches on your new transmitter according to the switch pattern. Set the last 3 switches to the OFF position.
4. Replace the programming panel on your new transmitter.
5. Test the operation of the remote by pressing the buttons to open and close the garage door.
6. Repeat these steps for any additional transmitters you want to program.
Please note that it is important to keep remote controls out of the reach of children to prevent any potential injuries. Only use the remote control when the garage door can be seen clearly, is properly adjusted, and there are no obstructions to door travel.
