The asTech Connect VCI (Vehicle Communication Interface) is a device that connects to the vehicle's Data Link Connector (DLC) to obtain vehicle information before submitting repair orders. It obtains power through the vehicle's DLC and should not be connected to an external DC power supply. The VCI is used in conjunction with the asTech Connect App to remotely diagnose and service vehicles. The asTech Connect system allows asTech Service Subscribers to submit remote repair orders to vehicle repair companies via the asTech Complete platform. The system supports vehicles that comply with CAN/DolP/CAN FD/J2534 diagnostic protocol standards. The asTech Connect VCI is bound to the asTech Complete platform before repair orders can be submitted.
