To connect the Sony HTST9 7.1 Sound Bar with the wireless subwoofer, follow these steps:
1. Place the sound bar and subwoofer in their desired locations. The subwoofer should be placed near a power outlet.
2. Connect the sound bar to your TV using an HDMI cable. Locate the HDMI OUT (TV ARC) port on the sound bar and connect it to the HDMI ARC port on your TV. Make sure your TV supports the Audio Return Channel (ARC) function.
3. Power on the sound bar and subwoofer. Connect the power cords of both devices to power outlets.
4. On the sound bar remote control, press the INPUT button repeatedly until "TV" appears on the display panel. This selects the TV input source.
5. On your TV, navigate to the audio output settings and select the HDMI ARC option. This allows the sound bar to receive audio signals from your TV.
6. The sound bar and subwoofer should automatically pair with each other. If they don't, press and hold the WOOFER button on the sound bar remote control for 5 seconds until the blue LED on the subwoofer starts flashing rapidly. Then press and hold the PAIRING button on the back of the subwoofer for 5 seconds until the blue LED on the subwoofer stops flashing and remains lit.
7. Once the pairing is complete, you should hear audio from the sound bar and subwoofer. Adjust the volume and other settings as desired.
