According to the instruction manual, the Proctor Silex Electric Skillet with Lid is not dishwasher safe. It should be cleaned by hand. After cooking, turn the temperature control to OFF, unplug the skillet from the outlet, and let it cool completely. Then, clean the skillet and lid with hot, soapy water using a nylon scouring pad. Rinse thoroughly and dry. It is important to note that you should not use metal scouring pads or abrasive cleansers as they can damage the nonstick coating. If necessary, you can wipe the temperature control and cord with a damp cloth and then wipe dry.
