Cleaning the Baby Brezza Food Maker Deluxe is important to maintain its performance and hygiene. Here are the steps to clean the different parts of the machine:
1. Bowl, Blade, and Bowl Lid: These parts are top shelf dishwasher safe, but you can also hand wash them with warm, soapy water. Avoid using abrasive pads to clean these parts.
2. Stainless Steel Heating Plate: You can scrub the heating plate with an abrasive pad to remove mineral scaling.
3. Driveshaft: The driveshaft should not be put in the dishwasher. It should be wiped with a damp cloth only.
4. Steam Tank: Regular cleaning of the steam tank is recommended to prevent mineral deposit build-up. Unplug the machine before cleaning. Pour 1/3 cup white vinegar and 1/3 cup distilled water into the steam tank and let it sit overnight. Pour out the vinegar and water solution, then refill the steam tank with purified water. Plug in the machine and run the "Steam" cycle for 15 minutes. Rinse with purified water to eliminate any remaining vinegar taste.
5. Food Pouch and Easy-Fill Funnel: The food pouch and easy-fill funnel are top rack dishwasher safe. You can also rinse them with soap and water. Avoid using harsh abrasives to clean these parts.
Remember to allow all parts to dry before storing them away. Do not use chemical descalers in the machine.
