1. Before beginning the installation, check all parts against the parts list provided in the manual. If any parts are missing, contact Fabtech for a replacement.
2. Read all instructions thoroughly before starting the installation to avoid any mistakes or damage to the vehicle.
3. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and jack up the front end of the truck. Support the frame rails with jack stands.
4. Remove the front tires.
5. Disconnect the sway bar from the sway bar end links and frame. Remove the sway bar and save the hardware.
6. Disconnect the brake lines from the frame and axle on both the driver and passenger sides. Save the hardware.
7. Remove the front shocks and discard them. Save the hardware.
8. Lower the front axle to release tension on the coil springs and remove the coil springs. Be cautious when working with coil springs under load.
9. Disconnect the factory steering stabilizer from the frame mount and remove the frame bracket. Discard the bracket and save the hardware.
10. Remove the drag link from the pitman arm, taking care not to damage the threads.
11. Disconnect the track bar from the frame bracket and remove the bracket. Save the original hardware and discard the factory track bar bracket.
12. Remove the factory pitman arm from the steering box using a large pitman arm puller. Discard the hardware and arm.
13. Install the new pitman arm (FT30122) using the supplied sector shaft nut (FT30258). Torque the nut to 350 ft-lbs.
14. Attach the track bar bracket (FT30724) to the frame using the original hardware. Torque the bolts to 120 ft-lbs. Do not attach the track bar to the frame bracket at this time.
15. Remove the factory front bump stops and mounting cups from the frame. Drill out the center hole of the cups to 1/2".
16. Install the bump stop extensions (FT30653) onto the cups using the supplied 1/2" x 1-1/4" hardware. Torque to 127 ft-lbs.
17. Measure 3" straight up from the bottom of the frame and drill a 1-1/4" hole using a hole saw.
18. Drill out the factory bump stop mount hole to 1/2".
19. Mount the new bump stop extension to the frame using the supplied nut tab (FT50290) and 1/2" x 1-1/2" bolt and washer. Torque to 127 ft-lbs.
20. Repeat the bump stop installation on the passenger side.
21. Remove the driver side factory radius arm and install the new radius arm (FT30125BK) using the factory hardware at the frame and upper axle mount. Use the supplied alignment cam kit bolt (FT292) at the lower axle location. Torque the hardware to 222 ft-lbs and the cam bolts to 287 ft-lbs.
22. Repeat the radius arm installation on the passenger side.
23. Install the front coil springs (FT30648 for diesel or FT30731 for gas) using the factory upper isolator.
24. Install the new front shocks (FTS7236, FTS6236, or FTS810962) with the supplied bushing kits using the factory hardware. Torque the lower hardware to 111 ft-lbs and the upper to 46 ft-lbs.
25. Reinstall the track bar to the new frame bracket and the drag link to the new pitman arm using the factory hardware. Torque the track bar to 400 ft-lbs and the drag link to 70 ft-lbs.
26. Install the brake line brackets (FT30659) to the factory brake line tabs using the supplied hardware. Torque to 52 ft-lbs.
27. Install the steering stabilizer drop bracket (FT30672) and stabilizer clevis (FT30686) using the factory hardware. Torque to 52 ft-lbs.
28. Install the sway bar drop brackets (FT3400-112P for driver side and FT3400-112D for passenger side) using the factory hardware. Torque to 35 ft-lbs.
29. Reinstall the front tires and wheels. Torque the lug nuts to the wheel manufacturer's specifications.
30. Follow the rear suspension installation instructions provided in the manual for either the 4" block or 5" block kit.
31. Install the rear shocks (FTS7266, FTS6063, or DL FTS810052) using the factory hardware. Torque the upper mount to 46 ft-lbs and the lower mount to 66 ft-lbs.
32. Install the rear tires and wheels. Torque the lug nuts to the wheel manufacturer's specifications.
33. Check the front end alignment and adjust if necessary. Recheck all bolts for proper torque.
34. Recheck brake hoses, ABS wires, and suspension parts for proper tire clearance while turning the tires fully left to right.
35. Check the fluid levels in the front and rear differentials and fill if needed with the manufacturer's recommended differential oil.
36. Install the driver warning decal and complete the product registration card.
