To install the Peying PY0101P Rear View Camera, follow these steps:
1. Select a suitable location for the camera installation. It should provide a proper outlook and the best possible view behind/in front of the vehicle. Avoid mounting it directly next or under a reverse lamp to prevent blinding the camera.
2. Before drilling any holes in the vehicle's body, ensure that the selected location will not damage any electrical cables, brake system, fuel tank, etc.
3. The camera should not obscure rear lights, license plate, or any other part of the vehicle. It should also not stick out beyond the outline of the vehicle.
4. Carefully route the camera cable connector through the hole and insert the camera into the hole.
5. Wire the cables according to the wiring diagram provided in the manual. There are two different methods of connecting the camera:
a. Connect the video output cable to the video input on your vehicle's monitor and connect the red cable to power (+12 V).
b. Connect the video output cable to the video input on your vehicle's monitor, connect the red cable to power (+12 V), and connect the black cable to GND (recommended method).
6. After making the connections, ensure that they are executed properly and securely. Reversed connections can cause short circuits and damage.
7. Double-check for any cables, sensors, lines, or other components that could get damaged before drilling.
Please note that these instructions are a general guide. It is recommended to consult the Peying PY0101P Rear View Camera Owner's Manual for specific instructions and illustrations related to your set.
