To connect the Sunfire SDS-SDS8230 subwoofer to your audio system, follow these steps:
1. Locate the line-level inputs on the back of the subwoofer. These are typically labeled as "Input" or "Line In."
2. Use an RCA cable to connect the subwoofer's line-level input to the subwoofer output or preamp output on your audio system. Make sure to match the left and right channels correctly.
3. If your audio system has a dedicated subwoofer output, you can use a single RCA cable. If not, you may need to use a Y-adapter to split the audio signal from your main speakers to the subwoofer.
4. Once the connections are made, power on your audio system and the subwoofer. The subwoofer should automatically turn on when it detects a signal from your audio system.
5. Adjust the volume control on the subwoofer to your desired level. You can also adjust the crossover frequency control to set the point at which the subwoofer starts playing bass frequencies.
