To connect the Klipsch R-28F Home Theater Speaker Package to your amplifier, you will need 16-12 gauge speaker wire. Follow these steps:
1. Identify the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals on both the speakers and your amplifier.
2. Connect the RED "positive" (+) terminal of the LEFT speaker to the RED "positive" (+) terminal of your amplifier's LEFT channel.
3. Connect the BLACK "negative" (-) terminal of the LEFT speaker to the BLACK "negative" (-) terminal of your amplifier's LEFT channel.
4. Repeat the above steps for connecting all the remaining speakers to the appropriate amplifier channels.
5. Make sure that no bare wires from any of the connections touch any other terminals to avoid causing a short and damaging your equipment.
Note: Some Klipsch Reference speakers come with dual binding posts connected by a metal strip. Do not remove this strip, as it is essential for the correct functioning of the speakers. Connect your speaker wire to the top set of the binding posts. If your speaker has two sets of binding posts, it is possible to "bi-wire" them. Please refer to your receiver's manual for further instructions.
It is important to ensure that your amplifier is compatible with the Klipsch speakers. Klipsch speakers are highly efficient and can operate easily on a wide variety of amplifiers. They are 8-ohm compatible and can be driven to high levels with low distortion. However, it is recommended to check with your dealer or amplifier manual to ensure the best compatibility for your specific setup.
