To clean the KALORIK SM 47451 Multi-Purpose Waffle Grill and Sandwich Maker, follow these steps:
1. Unplug the appliance and wait for it to cool down completely in an open position.
2. Wipe the outside with a slightly moistened cloth or paper towel to remove any excess oil or grease.
3. Remove the cooking plates from the unit by unlatching them.
4. Use a wooden or plastic spatula to remove stuck-on food residue from the cooking plates. Do not use a knife or sharp utensils.
5. Clean the cooking plates with a moist, soft cloth or sponge.
6. Do not clean the inside or outside of the unit with any abrasive scouring pads or steel wool as this will damage the finish.
7. If there is any hard-to-remove batter residue baked onto the cooking plates, use vegetable oil to soften it, then wipe it away with a paper towel.
8. Do not place the appliance in the dishwasher or immerse it in water or any other liquid.
9. The appliance can be stored vertically to save space.
