To install the ENSTO ECO16BTD Combination Thermostat, follow the steps below:
1. Ensure that the installation is done by an electrician with the appropriate qualifications.
2. Read the instruction manual carefully before starting the installation work.
3. Follow the instructions in the manual and ensure that the installation complies with national safety regulations, installation methods, and restrictions.
4. Disconnect the power supply before any installation and maintenance work on the thermostat and associated components.
5. Install a main switch elsewhere in the circuit as the thermostat does not have a main switch on the product itself.
6. Connect the thermostat using the xxxx connectors. The stripping length for the wires should be 8mm.
7. Connect the floor sensor to the Floor S1 and S2 connectors.
8. If using the thermostat as a room or combination thermostat, order an additional room sensor (product number ECOAC2) and connect it to the Room S1 and S2 connectors.
9. Connect external temperature control to the connector marked with ΔT. You can use any phase for the external temperature control. The default for external control is 10 °C, but you can modify the settings with the Ensto Heat Control application.
10. Install a fault current switch with a nominal operating current of max. 30 mA.
11. Make sure that the heating load is equivalent to the thermostat power rating.
12. Measure the insulation resistance and the circuit resistance of the heating load controlled by the thermostat.
13. Put the floor sensor cable in a dry protective tube between heating cables, ensuring there is no water in the protective tube.
14. Route the room sensor cable in a protective tube to the room to be heated. Install the sensor in an appliance box, for example, with a cable tie. Install the sensor at a height of approximately 1.5m measured from the floor. Protect the sensor with a centre plate (product number LS994BWWFI) and a cover frame (product number LS981WW85FI).
15. Turn on the thermostat with the separate main switch.
16. Adjust the floor temperature by turning the adjustment wheel. The thermostat switches on the heat when the floor temperature measured by the floor sensor is lower than the set value.
17. Use the Ensto Heat Control application to program and change the settings of your thermostat. Download the application from Apple Store or Google Play and pair your mobile device with the thermostat following the instructions in the manual.
18. Follow the user instructions for the Ensto Heat Control application to set the desired operation mode, temperature changes, and other functions.
Please note that this is a summary of the installation instructions provided in the manual. For detailed and accurate installation guidance, refer to the ENSTO ECO16BTD Combination Thermostat Instruction Manual.
