To determine the appropriate mounting method for the TMI POLAR PRO 42" x 108" Swinging Doors, you need to measure the thickness of your door jamb. While standing inside the cooler or freezer, measure from the back of the closed door to the inside wall surface. The measurement will help you decide which mounting method to use.
- If the measurement indicates that the door jamb is strong enough to support the weight and force of the door, you can choose to attach the door panels to the inside wall surface. This method requires placing the door panels on the inside of the doorway opening and using the inside wall surface for mounting. The mounting instructions for this method can be found in the manual.
- If the measurement indicates that the door jamb is strong enough, you can choose to attach the door panels to the inside of the doorway opening using both door jambs. This method requires mounting the door panels to the inside of the doorway opening, with the panels reversed from Method #1. The mounting instructions for this method can also be found in the manual.
- If the measurement indicates that the door jamb may not be strong enough, it is recommended to check with the cooler/freezer manufacturer before proceeding with the installation.
