To install the MB QUART GMR-LED AM-FM-USB-Bluetooth Multimedia Controller, follow these steps:
1. Consult a professional audio installation technician before installing any mobile audio components.
2. Ensure that wires do not make contact with metal edges, sources of moisture, or hot engine components.
3. Determine the appropriate mounting location for the controller. The total mounting depth required is 4" (100mm), and the cut-out diameter is 3" (76.2mm).
4. Using a 3" hole saw or air saw, cut a hole in the mounting panel with the specified diameter.
5. Thread the supplied bolts into the back of the multimedia controller using a 9/32" nut driver or deep socket.
6. Thread two of the supplied mounting nuts upside down on the bolts to allow for spacing if needed.
7. Insert the controller through the mounting hole opening, ensuring enough depth for secure wiring.
8. Attach the aluminum mounting bracket to gauge the sizing and ensure it fits snugly against the mounting panel.
9. Attach the remaining mounting nuts on the threaded bolts to secure the mounting bracket.
10. Connect the wiring according to the provided wiring chart, ensuring proper connections for power, ground, speakers, and other components.
11. Solder and protect wire-to-wire connections with heat shrink tubing or high-quality electrical tape.
12. Connect the yellow RCA "Camera Input" to the installed camera's composite video output if applicable.
13. Connect a +12 volt trigger, typically a reverse gear signal, to the unit's purple/white wire if using a camera.
14. Test the installation by powering on the unit and checking for proper functionality.
Please refer to the complete installation instructions provided in the user guide for more detailed information and diagrams.
