To install the eufy 318T84201W Anker Floodlight Camera 1080P 2500 Lumen, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have a junction box and wires already installed outdoors.
2. Check the Wi-Fi signal strength at the installation location to ensure a strong connection.
3. Before starting the installation, remember to exercise caution when working with electricity. If you are uncomfortable with electrical wiring, hire a professional electrician.
4. Power on the Floodlight Camera indoors by connecting it to a power source and waiting for the LED indicator to blink red.
5. Download the eufy Security app from the App Store (iOS devices) or Google Play (Android devices).
6. Login or sign up for a eufy Security account and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the setup.
7. Make sure you can livestream video from the Floodlight Camera before mounting it.
8. Unplug the Floodlight Camera and unscrew the power cord, as it is not required for outdoor mounting.
9. Shut down the circuit breaker in your house and switch on/off the lights to ensure the electricity is properly shut off.
10. Remove the old Floodlight from the junction box and install the mounting plate to the junction box. Ensure that the concaved side of the mounting plate faces outwards.
11. Decide whether you want to hang the Floodlight Camera upside down or install it vertically on the wall, based on the position of your junction box. Exercise caution when working with electricity and consider hiring a professional electrician if needed.
12. For upside-down installation, turn the camera down to the end when it's placed vertically, then turn the camera 180° in a clockwise direction.
13. Hang the Floodlight Camera on the junction box using the provided hook. Connect the ground wires (yellow or green) from the junction box and Floodlight Camera using a wire nut. If there's no ground wire or it's already connected to the junction box, connect the Floodlight Camera's ground wire to the junction box or mounting plate directly.
14. Use wire nuts to connect the Floodlight Camera's wires to the rest of the wires from the junction box. Connect the white wire (neutral) from the Floodlight Camera to the white wire from the junction box, and connect the black wire (hot) from the Floodlight Camera to the black wire from the junction box.
15. Insert the central xxxx through the center of the Floodlight Camera and tighten it. Use the central xxxx cap to cover the xxxx and prevent rusting.
16. After installation, adjust the camera angle using the knobs on the Floodlight Camera.
17. Switch on the main circuit breaker in your house and check if the LED indicator on the Floodlight Camera turns solid white to confirm it is operating.
18. If the Floodlight Camera is not powered on, switch off the circuit breaker before checking the wiring. Exercise caution when working with electricity and consider hiring a professional electrician if needed.
19. If the Floodlight Camera keeps blinking red, it means it is not connected to the internet. Ensure a strong Wi-Fi signal at the desired location by moving the wireless router closer or using a Wi-Fi range extender.
20. For troubleshooting and further assistance, refer to the Help section in the eufy Security app or consult the user manual.
Please note that the above steps are a summary and it is important to refer to the complete user guide for detailed instructions and safety precautions.
