To change the grinding disc on the Metabo WEV 15-125 Quick Angle Grinder, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the power source: Before attempting to change the grinding disc, make sure the grinder is unplugged or the battery is removed if it is a cordless model.
2. Lock the spindle: Locate the spindle lock button on the top or side of the grinder. Press and hold the spindle lock button to lock the spindle in place. This will prevent it from rotating while you change the disc.
3. Remove the disc: Use a wrench or spanner to loosen the disc nut. Turn the nut counterclockwise to loosen it. Once the nut is loose, you can remove it by hand. Take off the old grinding disc and set it aside.
4. Install the new disc: Place the new grinding disc onto the spindle, making sure it is properly aligned with the mounting flange. Hold the disc in place with one hand while tightening the disc nut with the wrench or spanner. Turn the nut clockwise to tighten it securely.
5. Release the spindle lock: Once the disc nut is tightened, release the spindle lock button. The spindle will now be free to rotate.
6. Check the disc tightness: Give the disc a gentle tug to ensure it is securely fastened. If it feels loose, repeat steps 3 to 5 to tighten it further.
