To set up the OFFNOVA CT521 Thermal Label Printer, follow these steps:
1. Connect the label printer to your computer using the USB cable provided.
2. Pull the release latch to open the cover and load the label. Make sure the green guides are touching the label sides, then close the cover.
3. Turn on the power and wait for the printer to initiate (the power indicator should be ON).
4. Press and hold the Green Button until you hear one short beep. This will initiate automatic label identification. It is recommended to run this identification process every time you change the label.
For Windows:
- Download the driver from the USB driver attached or visit www.offnova.com. Make sure the printer is connected and turned on before installation.
- Run the driver and follow the instructions to complete the installation. In the Driver setup window, select the printer name and port, then click "Get USB port" to finish the installation.
- To check if the printer is connected successfully, right-click on "This PC" and choose "Properties". Then go to "Control Panel" -> "Devices and Printers" to find the printer.
- Set up the label size by right-clicking on "Label Printer" and selecting "Printing Preferences". Go to "Page Setup" and choose the desired size in "Paper Name". If the size you need is not available, click on "New" to create a custom size.
- Set up other preferences by going to "Graphical" and adjusting the printer properties.
- Choose the files you want to print the label samples from.
For Mac OS:
- Download the driver from the USB driver attached or visit www.offnova.com. Make sure the printer is connected and turned on before installation.
- Run the driver and follow the instructions to complete the installation. If the driver cannot be opened, click OK to add permission to it first. Then go to "System Preferences" -> "Security & Privacy" and under "General", click "Open Anyway" to set up.
- After installation, go to "System Preferences" -> "Printers and Scanners" to add the OFFNOVA Printer to your Mac Book.
- Set up the label size by opening a desired file and selecting "Print". In the print window, click "Page Setup..." and choose the paper size under the format for OFFNOVA Printer. If the desired size is not available, click on "Manage Custom Sizes" to create a new size.
- Set up other preferences by clicking "Page Setup..." -> "Printer Features" under "Pages" and adjust the printer properties.
