To set up the TERADEK Bolt 4K LT Zero Delay Wireless Transmitter and Receiver, follow these steps:
1. Power and Connect:
- Connect the output from your video source to either the SDI or HDMI input on the Bolt transmitter.
- Connect either the SDI or HDMI output from the Bolt receiver to the video input on your monitor.
- Attach the antennas to the transmitter and receiver using the RP-SMA connectors.
2. Power and Connect (continued):
- Connect power to the transmitter and receiver using the included A/C adapter or compatible battery.
- Move the power switches on both the transmitter and receiver to the ON position. Video should appear within a few seconds.
3. Mounting:
- Use the 1/4”-20 threaded hole on the bottom of the devices to mount the included light stand adapter or any other mounting accessory.
- Mount the Bolt transmitter vertically, keeping the antennas clear of any obstructions.
- Orient the transmitter and receiver antennas so they are parallel to each other.
4. Receiver Menu:
- Use the Menu joystick on the receiver to navigate through the menu options.
- The menu options include Receiver Status Screens, Time Code Screen, Info Screen, TX Info, Wireless Settings, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Quality Graph, Pair, Unpair, HDMI Settings, Test Pattern, Audio Settings, Bluetooth Settings, Video OSD Settings, Display Settings, Reset All Settings, Device Info, and Firmware Versions.
5. Transmitter Menu:
- Use the Menu joystick on the transmitter to navigate through the menu options.
- The menu options include Transmitter Status Screens, Info Screen, HDMI Status Screen, Wireless Settings, Enable Broadcast Mode (MAX only), Enable Fixed Frequency, Bandwidth, Frequencies, Video Quality, Pair, Unpair, Bluetooth Settings, Display Settings, Reset All Settings, Device Info, and Firmware Versions.
6. Bolt Manager and Bolt App:
- Bolt Manager software allows you to configure, pair, and upgrade your Bolt device. It is available for Mac and Windows.
- The Bolt App can be downloaded from the App Store and used to remotely manage and monitor the Bolt 4K, including pairing, channel selection, and 3D LUTs.
