To adjust the toast shade on the Black+Decker TR1450WD 4-Slice Toaster, follow these steps:
1. Turn the toast shade selector dial to your desired setting. The dial ranges from 1 to 7, with 1 being lighter toasting and 7 being darker toasting.
2. For first use, it is recommended to set the dial to setting 4 and adjust as desired to suit your taste.
3. If you prefer lighter toasting, you can set the dial to a lower number, such as 2 or 3. If you prefer darker toasting, you can set the dial to a higher number, such as 5 or 6.
4. Toast thin slices on lower settings for a lighter shade.
