To install the BAIcells Nova230i Outdoor 2x500mW Microcell eNodeB, follow these steps:
1. Check the installation location: Ensure that the installation location is suitable and meets the requirements mentioned in the safety information section of the installation guide. Consider factors such as climate, hydrology, geology, reliable electric power, and transportation access.
2. Unpack the equipment: Before opening the box, make sure the package is in good condition. Check the quantity of items against the packing list.
3. Choose the installation method: The eNB can be installed on a pole or a wall. Select the appropriate method based on your installation requirements.
4. Install on a pole: If installing on a pole, check that the diameter of the pole is within the range of 1.6 inches to 2.8 inches. Assemble the back bracket on the back of the eNB and the pole mount part on the pole. Align the xxxx holes and fasten the screws to mount the eNB on the pole.
5. Install on a wall: If installing on a wall, ensure that the wall can bear at least 4 times the weight of the eNB. Attach the wall mounting bracket to the wall using expansion bolts. Align the xxxx holes on the back bracket with the corresponding xxxx holes on the wall mounting bracket and fasten the screws.
6. Connect cables: Lay the cables according to the specified requirements, ensuring proper bending radius and separation from signal cables. Connect the Ethernet cable to the ETH/POE port of the eNB and the LAN port of the PoE adaptor. Connect the PoE adaptor to an AC power source.
7. Grounding: Follow the grounding guidelines provided in the installation guide. Connect the grounding cable to the grounding screws on the eNB and ensure a reliable connection to a good grounding point.
8. Power on and check LED status: Power on the eNB and wait for it to boot up. Check the LED indicators on the eNB to ensure they are lighting up as expected.
