Sure! Here are the step-by-step instructions for installing the mucheln BLK-CAVPRI22 Sliding Privacy Door Lock:
1. Use the provided template to mark the cutouts in the side of the door. This will indicate where you need to drill and chisel.
2. Drill out the cutout marked on the side of the door using an appropriate drill bit. Make sure to follow the template markings accurately.
3. Use a chisel to carefully remove any excess material and create a clean and accurate cutout.
4. Next, drill and chisel out the lock-body cutout in the end of the door. Again, follow the template markings and ensure a precise cutout.
5. Insert the lock body into the cavity created in the door and fix it in place using the provided wood screws. Also, attach the door plate using the same screws.
6. Insert the side of the flush pull with the indicator into the cutout on the door. Make sure the pin goes through the loop at the back of the lock body.
7. Insert the other side of the cavity slider and affix the two sides together using the two screws provided.
8. Determine the correct height for the catch. Extend the lock hook and hold the catch against the door jamb. Align them properly and mark the door jamb.
9. Use the attached template to mark and cut the door jamb rebate. This will create a space for the catch to fit into.
10. Insert the catch into the door jamb rebate and fix it securely. You can adjust the catch using the xxxx in the catch to ensure a close fit between the door and jamb. Then, fix the striker plate.
