To charge the lithium battery for the HARPER HRS-440 Radio, follow these steps:
1. Load size UM1/D*2 batteries or a 3.7V lithium battery into the battery compartment.
2. For the first time use of the lithium battery, please charge it for 8 hours.
3. Turn off the unit.
4. Connect the external DC (5V) charging cable to the radio.
5. Allow the battery to charge for 6 to 10 hours.
Please note that the external DC charging time may vary depending on the battery capacity and charging conditions. It is important not to exceed 5V when using the DC power supply.
