The tachymeter scale on your STERNGLAS Tachymeter watch can be used to measure average speed over a certain distance. Here's how you can use it:
1. Check your mileage: Before starting, make sure you know the distance you want to measure.
2. Start the tachymeter: At the next kilometer step, press button A to start the chronograph. The central chronograph hand will start moving.
3. Pause the stopwatch: Keep an eye on the kilometer display and pause the stopwatch when you reach the next kilometer step (1 km) by pressing button A again.
4. Read your average speed: Once the stopwatch is paused, you can now read your average speed on the tachymeter scale. The tachymeter scale is typically located on the outer edge of the watch dial. Look for the point on the scale that corresponds to the number of seconds it took to cover the distance. The corresponding number on the scale will indicate your average speed.
Please note that the tachymeter scale is designed to measure average speed over a fixed distance, so it may not be suitable for measuring speed over shorter or longer distances.
