Cleaning the Cuisinart CBT-1500P1 Hurricane Blender is important to ensure its performance and longevity. Here are the instructions for cleaning the blender and its components:
1. Always unplug the blender from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
2. Remove the blender jar from the jar pad by lifting it straight up and away.
3. Remove the blender jar cover and the removable measuring cup.
4. Wash the blender jar, cover, and removable measuring cup in warm, soapy water. You can also place them in the dishwasher, preferably in the upper rack.
5. Wipe the motor base of the blender with a damp cloth to remove any residue. Make sure the motor base is completely dry before using the blender again. Do not submerge the motor base in water or place it in the dishwasher.
6. If needed, you can clean the blender blade assembly by squirting a small amount of dishwashing liquid into the assembled blender jar and filling it with 24 ounces of warm water. Run the blender on Low for 15 seconds. Repeat the process using clean tap water. Empty the blender jar.
7. Periodically check all parts before reassembly. If any part is damaged or the blender jar is chipped or cracked, do not use the blender.
8. Any servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.
