To set up the Salter 1260 SVDRA Electronic Kitchen Scales for the first time, follow these steps:
1. Remove the battery isolator tab (if present) from the battery compartment.
2. Insert the batteries, ensuring that the +/- terminals are correctly aligned.
3. To switch on the scale, place a bowl on the scale (if using one) and press the q/ZERO button. Wait until the display shows 0.
