To connect the Arkscan AS601U 1D Fixed Barcode Scanner to your computer, you have two options depending on the interface type:
1. USB Connection:
- Connect the scanner to your computer using the provided USB cable.
- The scanner is powered by the USB connection, so no additional power source is required.
- Data from the scanner will be sent as HID keyboard input, meaning it will act as if you are typing the barcode data directly into your computer.
2. RS232 Connection:
- Connect the scanner to your computer using an RS232 cable.
- You will also need to connect a power adapter (sold separately) to the RS232 connector's DC Jack as an external power supply.
- Data from the scanner will be sent serially over RS232, and you will need to configure the communication settings on your computer to match the scanner's settings (9600-8-N-1).
