Here is a step-by-step guide on how to install the Dynojet Power Commander 6 on your BMW S1000R 2014-2016:
1. Start by turning off the ignition before beginning the installation.
2. Remove the seat and fuel tank covers to access the necessary components.
3. Either remove the fuel tank or prop it up out of the way to create space for installation.
4. Remove the left and right side fairings to gain access to the tail section.
5. Use the supplied Velcro strips to secure the Power Commander 6 (PC6) in the tail section. Clean both surfaces with the supplied alcohol swab before attaching the Velcro.
6. Route the PC6 harness down the left side of the bike, underneath the fuel tank bracket, and towards the throttle bodies.
7. Attach the ground wire from the PC6 to the negative (-) terminal on the battery using the small ring lug provided.
8. Unplug the stock wiring harness from each fuel injector.
9. Plug the PC6 harness in-line with the stock wiring harness and each fuel injector. The PC6 harness colors correspond to the cylinders as follows:
- Orange: Cylinder #1 (left)
- Yellow: Cylinder #2
- Green: Cylinder #3
- Blue: Cylinder #4 (right)
10. Locate the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) connector from the throttle bodies on the left side, inside the frame.
11. Use the supplied posi-tap to attach the grey wire from the PC6 to the stock white/grey wire on the TPS connector. It is recommended to use dielectric grease on these connections.
12. Use the supplied posi-tap to attach the blue/white wire from the PC6 to the stock purple/black wire of the gear position sensor connector. This connector is located under the fuel tank to the left, rear of the frame. Use the middle purple/black wire.
13. Reinstall the fuel tank, bodywork, and seat.
14. Download the latest map files for your BMW S1000R 2014-2016 from the Dynojet website at dynojet.com/tunes.
