To handle the SOLiD Alliance eROU Fiber to Edge Active DAS Remote safely, please follow these guidelines:
1. Obey all general and regional installation and safety regulations related to work on high voltage installations.
2. Switch off the mains power before performing any work on the repeater.
3. Use the eROU equipment exclusively indoors.
4. Do not modify or fit any spare parts that are not sold or recommended by the manufacturer.
5. Maintain a minimum clearance of 50 cm from the antenna while the system is operating.
6. Do not operate the unit near flammable materials as it may reach high temperatures.
7. Do not use solvents, chemicals, or cleaning solutions containing alcohol, ammonia, or abrasives on the DAS equipment, except for cleaning fiber optic cabling ends and connectors.
8. Switch off the main power supply before working with the DAS system or Fiber BDA to prevent electrical shock.
9. Avoid looking directly into the ends of any optical fiber or optical transceiver to prevent radiation exposure.
10. Ensure sufficient fiber length to permit routing without severe bends.
11. Install the socket outlet near the equipment for easy accessibility.
12. Use a readily accessible disconnect device external to the equipment.
13. Supply power to the system through wiring installed in a normal building.
14. Only use 50-ohm-rated antennas, cables, and passive equipment that operate in the frequency range of the device.
15. Connect the head end unit directly to the Base Station using a cabled connection.
16. Access the equipment only by authorized service persons or users who have been instructed about the restrictions and precautions.
17. Avoid touching the heat-sink part of the equipment due to high temperature.
