To use the Gude GMS 45 Knife Sharpener, please follow these steps:
1. Place the knife sharpener on a stable, flat surface.
2. Clean the knives you want to sharpen to ensure there are no food remains or fat on the blades.
3. Connect the knife sharpener to a power source.
4. Press the On/Off button to turn on the sharpener.
5. Hold the knife firmly with your right hand, making sure to keep your fingers away from the blade.
6. Slowly drag the blade through the coarse sharpening slot ("1") for 3-4 seconds, applying slight pressure. Repeat this step three times.
7. Next, drag the blade through the fine sharpening slot ("2") for 3-4 seconds, again repeating this step three times.
8. Start sharpening from the end of the blade, where it joins the handle, and move the knife towards you. Apply constant pressure to keep the blade in contact with the sharpening disc. Sharpen the knife with one continuous motion, without stopping halfway. The blade should pass parallel to the table.
9. Check the sharpness of the knife and repeat the process if necessary until you achieve the desired sharpness.
10. Press the On/Off button to stop the sharpening disc.
11. Be cautious when handling the sharpened knives, as the blades and sharpening stones may be hot.
