The installation process for the PORSCHE A2DIY-CR12 Add-On Module for CR-1 and CR-2 Radios is as follows:
1. For vehicles without a CD changer:
- Remove the trim ring and pull the radio out of the dash.
- Connect the harness 13-pin plug to the radio 13-pin connector.
- Connect the supplied 3.5mm audio cable to the module's "AUX" jack and route it to the dash area or wherever the auxiliary device will be located.
- Secure the visor microphone to the visor or headliner using the included visor clip.
- Route the microphone cable down the pillar, under the steering column, and into the radio cavity.
- Connect the microphone plug to the module's "MIC" input jack.
- Make the power connections according to the instructions provided, depending on the radio model (993 or 964).
2. For vehicles with a CD changer:
- Disconnect the factory CD changer plug from the radio.
- Connect the factory CD changer plug to the module's 13-pin connector.
- Connect the harness 13-pin plug to the radio 13-pin connector.
- Complete the rest of the installation steps as mentioned above.
