To install the BROOKS 1250-55 Series Glass Tube VA Flow Meter, you have two options: panel mounting or mounting on a leveling tripod base.
For panel mounting, you will need to drill two 19/32" diameter clearance holes in the panel at the correct locations (refer to Figure 1 in the manual). Once the holes are drilled, secure the meter to the panel using the pal nuts provided with the meter.
If you prefer freestanding use, you can mount the meter on an optional leveling tripod base. The meter is supplied with 1/8-27 FNPT non-rotating fittings. When installing the fittings, place the appropriate size wrench on the hex to prevent the inlet and outlet fittings from rotating. Use pipe thread sealant or Teflon tape to achieve a positive seal. When installing the 1/8-27 MNPT fittings into the meter, torque to a maximum of 60 in-lbs. It is important to hold the inlet/outlet fittings or else over-torquing could cause damage to the fittings or the meter backplate.
