To properly mount the DURAVIT Durafix Wall Mounted WC, please follow these steps:
1. Start by preparing the wall where you intend to mount the WC. Ensure that the wall is sturdy and capable of supporting the weight of the WC.
2. Locate the desired height for the WC and mark the position on the wall. Make sure to consider the recommended distance from the floor and any specific requirements mentioned in the product manual.
3. Use a spirit level to ensure that the marked position is perfectly horizontal. Adjust as necessary.
4. Once the position is determined, locate the mounting holes on the back of the WC. These holes are specifically designed for the Durafix mounting system.
5. Measure the distance between the mounting holes on the WC and transfer these measurements onto the wall. Use a pencil to mark the positions of the holes on the wall.
6. Drill holes into the marked positions on the wall. The size of the drill bit required will depend on the specific Durafix mounting system provided with your WC. Refer to the product manual for the recommended drill bit size.
7. Insert the Durafix mounting bolts into the drilled holes on the wall. Ensure that they are securely fastened.
8. Apply a suitable adhesive or sealant to the back of the WC around the mounting holes. This will help create a watertight seal and provide additional support.
9. Carefully align the mounting holes on the WC with the Durafix mounting bolts on the wall. Gently push the WC onto the bolts until it is securely in place.
10. Double-check the WC's alignment and levelness using a spirit level. Make any necessary adjustments before proceeding.
11. Once satisfied with the positioning, tighten the nuts on the Durafix mounting bolts using an appropriate wrench. Be careful not to overtighten, as this may damage the WC or the mounting system.
12. Finally, clean off any excess adhesive or sealant around the edges of the WC using a damp cloth.
