To connect the Soundstream USB-8DL subwoofer to your head unit, you have two options: high level (speaker level) inputs or low level RCA inputs.
1. High Level Input Wiring: If your head unit does not have RCA outputs, you can use the speaker outputs as the audio source for the subwoofer. Use the supplied cable and wire harness to connect the outputs properly as shown in the connection diagram in the manual. Make sure to observe polarity to avoid audio phase problems.
2. Low Level RCA Input Wiring: If your head unit or other signal source has RCA outputs, it is recommended to use low level inputs for better audio performance. Connect the RCA audio cables from the head unit to the low level RCA inputs on the subwoofer.
Note: Do not connect both the high level and low level inputs from your receiver to the amplifier at the same time.
For both wiring options, make sure to properly ground the subwoofer by connecting the ground terminal to the closest point on the chassis of the vehicle. Use the appropriate gauge wire for power and remote connections as specified in the manual.
Please refer to the "Panel controls and features" section of the manual for more information on the specific controls and features of the Soundstream USB-8DL subwoofer.
