To install the Hunter i-90 Rotary Sprinkler, please follow the steps below:
1. Determine the location: Choose the desired location for the sprinkler, keeping in mind the coverage area and the distance it can reach.
2. Prepare the area: Clear the area of any obstacles or debris that may interfere with the sprinkler's operation.
3. Dig the hole: Dig a hole that is deep enough to accommodate the sprinkler and its riser. The pop-up height of the sprinkler is 7.6 cm, so make sure the hole is deep enough to allow for proper operation.
4. Connect the water supply: Connect the female inlet of the sprinkler to a 1½" NPT or BSP water supply. Ensure that the connection is secure and leak-free.
5. Adjust the arc (if applicable): If you have the adjustable arc model (I-90 ADV), you can adjust the arc from 40° to 360°. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to turn the arc adjustment xxxx located on top of the sprinkler. Adjust the arc to the desired angle.
6. Install the sprinkler: Place the sprinkler into the hole, ensuring that it is level and upright. Backfill the hole with soil, making sure to pack it firmly around the sprinkler to provide stability.
7. Test the sprinkler: Turn on the water supply and check for any leaks or issues with the sprinkler's operation. Adjust the radius and direction of the water spray as needed.
8. Fine-tune the settings: If necessary, you can change the nozzles to match the specific needs of your site. The sprinkler comes with color-coded nozzles that can be field-changed. Refer to the manual for instructions on how to change the nozzles.
9. Maintenance: The sprinkler is designed for easy serviceability. The "jar-top" body cap allows quick access to the filter screen and check valve without the need for additional tools. Regularly clean and inspect the sprinkler to ensure optimal performance.
