To charge the Waterpik WP-580 Rechargeable Water Flosser, follow these steps:
1. If the charger is not included with your unit, you will need a user-supplied USB charger with a Type-A USB connector that is rated for 5 VDC @ 1A.
2. Plug the charger into a wall outlet.
3. Connect the magnetic plug of the charger to the unit. The magnetic plug should easily attach to the charging port on the handle.
4. The charge indicator on the handle will flash when charging and will turn off when the unit is fully charged. A full charge can last up to 4 weeks of typical use.
5. It is recommended to charge the unit every 3-4 weeks if you use it once a day or less. If you use it twice a day or more, charge the unit more frequently.
6. Charging will stop automatically when the batteries are full, and leaving the charger connected will not damage or shorten the lifetime of the battery.
