To connect the ART TUBE MP Professional Tube Mic Preamp to other equipment, follow these steps:
1. Locate the inputs and outputs at the back of the TUBE MP. The inputs include an XLR balanced input and a ¼-inch TS instrument input. The outputs include a balanced XLR output and a ¼-inch TS output.
2. Use high-quality cables for the best audio quality.
3. For microphone applications, use the balanced XLR input. Connect your microphone to this input. The XLR pin configuration is as follows: pin 1 = ground, pin 2 = positive (hot), pin 3 = negative.
4. For instrument applications, use the unbalanced ¼-inch input. Connect your instrument to this input.
5. The XLR output is active balanced. You can use it in an unbalanced configuration without harm to the output circuitry. Connect this output to amps, processors, or other unbalanced configurations.
6. The ¼-inch output is unbalanced with a 300-ohm impedance. You can also use this output to send your signal to amps, processors, or other unbalanced configurations.
7. Both the XLR output and the ¼-inch output can be used at the same time.
