To install the Kingkraft Hi Lo Bath Argent Bath Height Adjustable, please follow the instructions provided in the installation guide. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Before starting, ensure that you have confirmed the issue number on the front cover of the installation guide and that the information provided is relevant to the unit you have received.
2. The bath should only be installed by competent individuals. Kingkraft recommends that the commissioning of the bath is carried out by Kingkraft-qualified personnel.
3. Determine the positioning of the bath. The drain of the bath is built into the bathtub itself, and the full weight/load of the bath is taken through the two flat plates at each end of the bath. If strengthening of the floor is necessary, it should take into account the positions of the feet below.
4. Check that the positioning of any fixings to be used will not interfere with any underfloor pipe work or cables.
5. The bath is heavier than a conventional unit and is rated to support a bather of up to 133kg in weight. Ensure that the floor is fully load-bearing.
6. Connect the hot and cold water supplies. The bath can be connected through the floor or along the wall. Follow the recommended pipe positions and sizes provided in the guide. Use PTFE tape for any required sealing.
7. Connect the drainage/waste pipes. The bath is supplied with a single drain that passes through a low-level on-board bottle trap. Follow the instructions provided in the guide for connecting the drain and waste pipes.
8. Install the thermostatic mixer valves/taps if applicable. Follow the instructions provided in the guide for connecting the mixer valves/taps to the hot and cold water supplies.
9. Ensure that all electrical requirements are met. The bath may require a suitable mains power supply depending on the specifications. Consult a qualified electrician to ensure compliance with electrical zoning/building regulations.
10. Position the bath in the desired final position and check all connections, bolts, and cabling for correctness and security.
11. Commission the mixer valves/taps. Set the temperatures and ensure proper operation. Kingkraft can provide a commissioning service if required.
12. If a whirlpool system is fitted, fill the bath above the whirlpool jets with clean water and check the operation of the system. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and disinfection routines.
13. Insert the cushions and any other supports supplied with the bath.
