To clean the soleplate of the cecotec Fast&Furious 8040 Absolute Ironing Station, follow these steps:
1. Turn off and unplug the appliance from the power supply and allow it to cool down completely.
2. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the surface of the soleplate.
3. If fabric is adhered to the soleplate due to heat, use a damp cloth and vinegar to detach it. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean the product.
4. If scale blocks the steam holes, use a toothpick to remove it.
5. Starch and other types of residue may be easily removed from the soleplate with a damp cloth. To avoid scratches on its finish, do not use metallic scouring pads to clean the soleplate and never place the iron on a rough surface.
6. If synthetic fabrics are ironed at high temperature, both the fabric and the soleplate of the iron could be damaged. The best way to remove synthetic residue from the soleplate is to heat it up and iron over an old cotton rag.
