Setting up the Wheaton W986010 PluraScan 2D Barcode Reader is a simple and straightforward process. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Connect the barcode reader to your computer using the provided USB cable.
2. Ensure that the barcode reader is powered off.
3. Plug the USB cable into an available USB port on your computer.
4. Power on the barcode reader by connecting it to a Corded Electric source with an operating voltage of 100V.
5. Wait for your computer to recognize the barcode reader and install any necessary drivers.
6. Once the barcode reader is recognized, it is ready to use.
You can now position the barcode reader over the target barcode on vials or ampules and allow it to autonomously read and decode the barcode. The decoded barcode ID will be input directly into the cursor location of software applications.
