To change the Wi-Fi settings on your high-speed internet modem/gateway, follow these steps:
1. Connect a laptop or PC directly to the modem/gateway using an Ethernet cable. Plug one end of the cable into your device and the other end into one of the four yellow jacks on the back of the modem/gateway.
2. Open your web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari) on the connected device.
3. In the address bar of your web browser, type the following address: http://192.168.1.254 and press Enter.
4. You will be prompted to log in. Look for the security code or security access code on the back of the modem/gateway. This code is different from the Wi-Fi password. Enter the security code when prompted.
5. Once logged in, you will have access to the modem/gateway settings. Look for the wifi/wireless menu and click on it.
6. In the wifi/wireless settings menu, you will find options to enable or disable Wi-Fi, change the network name (also known as SSID) or password, and adjust the wireless channel or frequency.
7. Make the desired changes to the Wi-Fi settings. Remember to choose a strong and secure password to protect your network.
8. After making the changes, save the settings and exit the modem/gateway interface.
Please note that the exact steps and menu options may vary depending on your specific modem/gateway model. For detailed instructions, refer to the user manual provided with your modem/gateway or contact the IgLou Customer Support for further assistance.
