To select different sounds on the LectroFan ASM1026 Fidelity White Noise Machine, you can use the noise and fan buttons. Press the noise button to cycle through the different noise options, and press the fan button to cycle through the different fan options. Each time you press the button, you will hear a short tone indicating that you have moved to the next sound. The machine will automatically remember the last noise and fan setting when you switch between modes and save the most recently used noise and fan setting when you turn it off. To save your last setting, be sure to use the "power off" button. Please note that if you unplug the unit or turn it off using a power strip, the last setting will not be saved. If you'd like to step through the sounds in reverse order, you can press and hold the noise or fan button for three seconds.
