To connect the Okidata B6500 printer to your computer, you can use either a USB or Ethernet connection. Here are the steps to connect using each method:
1. USB Connection:
- Ensure that your computer is turned on and the printer is powered off.
- Connect one end of the USB cable to the USB port on the back of the printer.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to an available USB port on your computer.
- Power on the printer.
- Your computer should automatically detect the printer and install the necessary drivers. If prompted, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
2. Ethernet Connection:
- Ensure that your computer and the printer are connected to the same network.
- Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the back of the printer.
